End of Year Newsletter
Another year has come and gone and we for our part have visited three hundred and six travel agents as well as speaking to numerous individuals about holidaying in New Zealand. This is well in excess of the guaranteed two hundred and fifty and is indeed the fifth successive year we have topped three hundred. Basically if the need is there then off we go from as far north as Edinburgh to as far south as Penzance where there was not a single pirate in sight!
Since our last report we have spoken with:
Bath Travel, Thomsons Travel, STA, First Choice, American Express Travel, and Thomas Cook all Southampton.
Bridge the World, STA, First Choice, Bath Travel and Trailfinders all Bournemouth whilst in Christchurch we called on Bath Travel (Australia and New Zealand Head Office, Bath Travel town branch and Thomsons Travel.
Comings and Goings
In a newsletter earlier this year we advised of the merger between First Choice and Thomsons and just recently we have learnt of the problems facing Thomas Cook with their shares dropping 85% over the past twelve months. It has been reported in the papers here that five banks have clubbed together for a massive bailout!
As I see it Thomas Cook simply have not moved with the times.
They are forever pushing the Middle East and Egypt especially as the top holiday destination.
